John is the founder and president of Cedrus, a family wealth advisory firm that helps clients integrate their financial purposes, goals and passions. John has over 23 years of experience as a financial advisor and financial planner with Wall Street firms. John’s expertise also includes public speaking and executive leadership with Lifetime Wealth Principles, a company that conducted over 300 seminars a year for Fortune 500 Company employees in career transitions. He previously established J. Scott Securities Corp., a diversified financial services firm.
Brandon Ideker
Brandon is a financial advisor and provides client service for Cedrus. Previously, he was a consultant and broker for Marsh, Inc., where he helped develop and broker large company employee benefit plans for clients with 500 employees to 25,000 employees. He earned an MBA and a master’s degree in finance from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and computer information systems from Colorado State University.
Laurie Scott
Laurie is part of the executive leadership team at Cedrus Financial. She previously owned and operated her own travel agency specializing in creating luxury travel experiences for clients and their extended families. For the past five years, Laurie has worked as a volunteer with several charitable organizations, including serving as an advisory board member to Hope House of Colorado and co-chairing an annual charity event - Hats off for Hope House that raises over $70,000 to help teen mothers gain self sufficiency. She is also an ambassador for Mount Saint Vincent Home, which provides services and programs for children with a wide range of emotional and behavioral problems. Laurie implemented the “Adopt A Room” program for MSV and helped raise $200,000 to remodel cottages that house over 90 children.
